Our Boards
As a member of Row New York’s Board, you are ready to dedicate both time and, in some cases, financial resources to support Row New York’s effort to transform the lives of New Yorkers through the sport of rowing.
Row New York’s Board of Directors and the Associate Board are a dedicated and diverse community of advisors, supporters, and rowers.

We are curious and driven
Our Boards are ready to tackle our toughest questions. How quickly can we serve more kids at our newest site? What will it take to get there? How can we expand our boathouses and increase academic support? How can we better recruit people with disabilities and veterans? How can a driven group of young supporters most effectively impact the bottom line and the lives of our students?
Looking to be involved with our Boards?
Board of Directors
Row New York board members have an opportunity to collaborate with a talented group of peers to help shape and grow one of the most high-impact nonprofits in the city. Our results are truly astounding, and the board plays a critical role in enabling the organization to do its work. Please contact us at info@rownewyork.org if you’re interested in learning more about getting involved.
Associate Board
The Associate Board serves as a vehicle to build momentum and visibility for Row New York by raising community awareness, fundraising, and providing program and management support. This group of smart, diverse, and enthusiastic people makes an impact on Row New York on and off the water through mentorship and volunteerism, and also broadens their own professional and social circles. To get involved or learn more about the Associate Board – or the broader, more social Associate Circle – contact Marcia Kielar at mkielar@rownewyork.org.

Youth Leadership Team
The Youth Leadership Team (YLT) empowers student-athletes to lead, represent their peers, and help shape the culture of Row New York. As ambassadors of their boathouses, YLT members provide feedback to senior staff, support the implementation of program goals, and strengthen student-staff relationships. Meeting monthly with an adult advisory, the team also engages in social justice projects, volunteer efforts, and community-building initiatives—fostering a positive, inclusive, and hard-working environment that inspires others.
