I can still remember winter training from my novice year. The day we came off the water for the winter our coach, Mary, sat us down in the gym and said we were about to work harder than we ever had in our lives. To me, this sounded somewhat thrilling and terrifying at the same time. That winter remains a blurred memory of runs in the snow, long ergs, weight lifting, and counting the days until we would be back on the water again. And so it is for the Row New York girls…
