Five Gold Medalists from the Duck Regatta 2008

Row New York is fast becoming a regional force in junior rowing. Here’s a sampling of what Row New York crews have earned and accomplished in the past few years:

This record of success at the high school level has garnered the attention of college programs. Five Row New York alums are now in college on full or partial rowing scholarships. In 2008, all senior rowers were recruited to row in college, and several have already accepted offers: Calli Giannopoulos (Syracuse), Olivia Orlando (Northeastern), Simone D’Abreu (Smith), Vanessa Meyerhoefer (Lehigh), Megan Duncan (Dowling), Kim O’Neill (Dowling),

Still a young program, RNY is already producing some successful alums:

Monique Carter SmilesMonique Carter ‘07: Voted First-Team All State by the NYSSRA. Finished 7th in the junior event of the World Indoor Rowing Championships.
