In addition to junior Claudia Di Maio’s account of last weekend’s CRASH-B/college visit trip, Row New York is pleased to provide medal standings and finishes from the competition.
Community Rowing coaches Adam Berger and Isake Smith reported that they were very proud of the adaptive athletes who excelled last weekend. In the women’s LTA-PD category, Maria Saldarriaga pulled a bronze medal. Bill Schneider pulled silver in the same category for men. Soo Lee grabbed a bronze in the women’s arm-trunk category. All the adaptive athletes, including Lorin Campos, pulled personal records, making CRASH-Bs an outstanding example of the strength and determination our adaptive athletes exhibit.
The women’s junior heavyweight category featured the erging talents of five Row New Yorkers. In a 200-strong field of competitors, Shannon McCann led the Row New York group with a sixteenth place finish and a time of 7:27. Jenee Small set a personal record with her 7:38 finish. Alexa Presto followed at 7:58, Veronica Castillo at 8:01, and Kiera Keegan at 8:09.

Congratulations to our athletes on their setting of a high bar for next year’s contingent of CRASH-B Row New Yorkers.
