The Row New York girls were joined by an enthusiastic group of family and friends at the Meadow Lake Boathouse last Saturday for a day of delicious food and celebration of the recent accomplishments of the team, including our novice 8’s gold medal winning performance at the New York State Championship! With everyone lounging lake-side and enjoying the beautiful spring weather, dozens of hot dogs and hamburgers were grilled and consumed, along with hot wings, empenadas, a healthy Greek salad, and a plethora of additional treats, snacks, and special dishes. After everyone had eaten their fill (including team mascot Seymour Chandraratna, who joined in the celebration by eating an entire cake), the party moved into the boathouse for a season wrap-up slide show, the conferring of team awards, and presentation of sweatshirts to our fantastic novice crew, signifying their graduation to the varsity team.
