Row New York headed to the Head of the Schuylkill this weekend, showing up in force, racing twenty-four athletes. Performances included Row New York’s first ever appearance in the Varsity Single event, courtesy of Mariel Vanderlinden. The Varsity four continued to show speed, defeating 28 boats to finish 29th overall out of a field of 54. Several second varsity athletes rowed up in a very fast First Varsity Eights event, taking 28th and 35th places, finishing ahead of cross-town NYRA, among others.
