Rowing Camps for Youth-Serving Organizations
Row New York’s summer rowing camps provide on-water activities to groups of young people from other youth-serving organizations in New York City. This program takes place on Meadow Lake in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. Our summer camp rowers learn the basics of the sport on land-based rowing machines and then get out on the water in stable barges. The focus of this program is teamwork, fitness, and outdoor fun.
Past participants have been brought to us by the Fiver Children’s Foundation, NYU Initiative for Women with Disabilities, StreetSquash, Tremont United Church, United Cerebral Palsy, and the Chinese-American Planning Council, among others.
If you would like to bring a group to row on Meadow Lake this summer, please email our Director of Community Rowing, Denise Aquino at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: we ask for a suggested donation of $300 per camp.
