We had a chilly, but truly wonderful boat naming ceremony at the boathouse on Tuesday.
Thank you to Mr. Bob Karetsky for his generous donation to support the purchase of The Wave. The Wave is one of our top racing boats and it will see a lot of use during our spring 2011 racing season and beyond. This boat was named in memory of Bob’s father, who grew up in New York City, and enjoyed a successful swimming career at Yale.
And thanks to Mr. Ray Hopkins and the YES Network for their generous donation to support the purchase of the YES. The YES is our first team sculling boat and the Row NY girls are very excited by the opportunity to race it this spring. We hope to make you and everyone at the YES Network proud as we row the YES boat for years to come.
