On Saturday, December 18th, the girls of Row New York once again hosted the annual Jingle Mingle at our indoor rowing facility in Long Island City. Don’t ask me how they managed it, but they convinced over 100 people to come and erg with them all morning. Crazy right? Even more incredibly, everyone had a blast doing what most people would consider torture. To be fair, most of the erging was actually a friendly yet competitive relay, which in my opinion, is one of the only ways to make erging fun, so I might be over-reacting a little…

Relay competitors and onlookers stand three deep in our erg room cheering encouragement.

In attendance were siblings, parents, community members, Row New York supporters, and also twelve members of the US National Team. Erging was not the only activity on the menu though. With the help of a generous finger food spread, everyone had the chance to mingle and talk in an informal, friendly setting. This event is always a great opportunity for our girls to show their family and peers what they do at Row New York as well as interact with working professionals and great role models. We’d like to thank everyone who attended for sharing the day with us and a special thank you to the ladies of the national team for joining in!
