Well, it’s been an eventful few days at Row New York! On Thursday 50 enthusiastic volunteers from Richemont and Laureus Sport for Good Foundation spent their workday painting and sprucing up our Manhattan boathouse before learning to row. Yesterday, Good Day NY visited and got on the river with Amanda and other Row New Yorkers, followed by a visit from Elizabeth Gilbert, author of “Eat, Pray, Love” (and former high school rower) who was eager to get back on the water. Oh, and NYPD officers and New York City Fire Department (FDNY) firefighters squeezed in their last few practices before tomorrow’s Heroes Row the Harlem race, and our regular youth programming continued as always: middle schoolers and high schoolers practiced at both boathouses, and para-rowers got on the water in Queens. Thank you, weather, for being so glorious. It’s been a really fun spring for Row New York!
