Academic Administrative Coordinator

Row New York seeks to hire a highly organized and task-oriented Academic Administrative Coordinator. The Academic Administrative Coordinator will organize the collection of academic metrics and manage the ordering of academic materials, supplies, and meals. Additionally, the Academic Administrative Coordinator will plan all academic events and coordinate the Senior Alumni Committee.

Academic and College Success Coordinator

Row New York seeks to hire a dynamic and goal-oriented Academic and College Success Coordinator. The Academic and College Success Coordinator will facilitate daily academic programming operations at our Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn locations for middle school and high school youth. In this role, the candidate will develop strong, healthy relationships with Row New York participants, collaborate with Program Directors and manage tutors to deliver quality programming and reinforce the qualities of successful participants. Additionally, the Academic and College Success Coordinator will manage a caseload of seniors and college freshmen and sophomores to offer college counseling and support their transition to college. This position is full-time with benefits.

Novice Program Coordinator, Manhattan

Row New York seeks a Manhattan Novice Coordinator to manage a team of up to 25 novice girls and boys, coaching them on the water, and overseeing their academic success. The Manhattan Novice Coordinator will work between Row New York’s main office in Midtown Manhattan and the Peter Jay Sharp boathouse in Upper Manhattan. Middle School Program Coordinator, Queens

The Middle School Program Coordinator will coach, manage, and motivate a team of up to 40 Middle School participants in their pursuit of athletic and academic excellence. The Middle School Program Coordinator will work between Row New York’s main office in Manhattan and the boathouse in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Wellness Coach

Row New York is seeking a part-time* Wellness Coach who will support our teen participants’ emotional and mental well-being and growth. This will be accomplished primarily by facilitating student workshops, empowering staff, and counseling participants in crisis.

The ideal candidate is an engaging, fun, and creative group facilitator and has experience counseling youth through crises, trauma, and the everyday challenges of being a young person. He or she will be committed to guiding our teen participants as they figure out who they want to be, navigate new or changing relationships, and come into their own.  

Spanish fluency is required. Must be willing to travel to different program locations in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan

Community Coaching Corps

Community Coaching Corps Members will commit to a challenging and exciting year at Row New York, the biggest rowing club in NYC. Coaching Corps Members will work closely with a wide range of programs including middle school programs, high school programs and adaptive programs each day at one of our locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan or Queens. Coaching Corps Members will inspire, challenge, and transform New York City’s under-resourced youth and their communities by providing mentorship, and fostering a love of rowing.

Community Assistant – Adaptive Programs

Row New York (RNY) seeks a positive and energetic person to serve as a coach for the community programs in Queens, NY.  The coach’s primary focus will be to coach participants in Row New York’s adaptive programs, middle school indoor program, juvenile justice program and representing Row New York at community events.  The coach will also have the opportunity to coach various other programs including, but not limited to learn-to-row programs, summer camps, groups, indoor rowing programs, and team building programs, schedule permitting.
