Director of Academics

The  Director of Academics and College Readiness oversees the many facets of Row New York’s after school academics and college prep programs. The Director of Academics and College Readiness will develop curriculum, oversee a team of tutors, and work with Academic & College Success Coordinators in Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn to run academic sessions for 240 middle school and high school girls and boys enrolled in Row New York programs in their pursuit of athletic and academic excellence.

Director of Finance

The Director of Finance will have overall financial management responsibility including the review and approval of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting materials and metrics for the ED and board of directors. She or he will oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow, and coordination of audit activities, as well as accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will not only be able to reconcile financial activities but should also be skilled at capturing key data and processes in order to demonstrate the relationship between Row New York’s goals and resulting fundraising needs.

Director of Capital Campaign

The Director of Capital Campaign will develop and execute the Capital Campaign raise, coach and train the development team, work with the Board of Directors and the Capital Campaign Leadership Council, and track progress. They will work closely with the Deputy Director, Director of Development, and Executive Director, to devise and implement a multifaceted capital campaign that will support Row New York’s plans for executing its strategic plan with the ultimate goal of a community boathouse.

Queens Varsity Assistant

Row New York’s Queens Varsity Assistant will assist in all facets of coaching and motivating a team of high school girls enrolled in Row New York’s competitive program in their pursuit of athletic and academic excellence.

Community Assistant – Adaptive Programs

Row New York (RNY) seeks a positive and energetic person to serve as a coach for the community programs in Queens, NY.  The coach’s primary focus will be to coach participants in Row New York’s adaptive programs, middle school indoor program, juvenile justice program and representing Row New York at community events.  The coach will also have the opportunity to coach various other programs including, but not limited to learn-to-row programs, summer camps, groups, indoor rowing programs, and team building programs, schedule permitting.

Community Program Coordinator

Row New York seeks a Community Program Coordinator to engage with the broader NYC community through land and water based opportunities and the facilitate promotional/exposure events throughout the 5 boroughs. The CPC will be based off-site and will travel to schools, boathouses, events, and organizations throughout the 5 boroughs to provide rowing opportunities and represent RNY to the greater community.

Boathouse Operations Assistant

The Boathouse Operations Assistant is a new role and will be responsible for assisting the Director of Boathouse Operations. This role will focus on providing operational support at our 3 rowing sites (Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn), regatta sites, and various indoor/land based rowing sites where Row New York will run programming.

Youth Coaching Corps

Row New York seeks three Coaching Corps members to work within our youth programs, coaching RNY participants, and assisting in running the day to day operations of RNY’s three youth programs. These positions are full time, salaried, and are provided with ample professional development and benefits. Row New York seeks an energetic and patient tutor with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to think on their feet to lead small tutor groups and provide one on one tutoring in our after-school academic program.
