Over the next few weeks and months, all the hard work and dedication of the past few years pays off as our 2012 graduates venture into the world of higher education. At colleges and universities around the country, our girls are moving in, getting settled, meeting new friends, and starting on educational journeys. It’s a fulfillment of their own promise and the promise of Row New York.

The graduates are: Danna Matute, Emma Buford, Kalieha Nozile, Kiera Keegan, Michelle Diaz, Tenzin Khangkar, Veronica Castillo, Abre Bokhari, and Alaura Zayas. Each of our graduates is embarking on the next step of their lives in the academic year starting this fall. In recent weeks, they have been collecting the essential move-in supplies that prepare them for college life, most of which were donated by Row New York’s generous friends.

Our graduates are attending: CUNY-Hunter, Wesleyan University, SUNY-Purchase, UMass-Amherst, Queensborough Community College, the University of Wisconsin, and Georgetown University.

Despite the emotional goodbyes, or maybe because of them, we know we’ll see our alumnae again when they return to Row New York when drawn again by the spirit of camaraderie and accomplishment that drew them in the first place.

Congratulations girls!
